POLEMARCH's MESSAGE

Dumars Jr Head Shot.jpg

Dear Brothers,

Since the inception of our brotherhood in 1911, this fraternity has stood the test of time through our commitment to achievement, service in the public’s interest, scholarship, and community service. As your Polemarch of the West Palm Beach Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., together we will continue to build on the successes of our past leadership, while being innovative in our approach to achieving future goals that leave a lasting impact on the West Palm Beach community at large.

The purpose of this letter is to communicate that, although we have grown to a medium chapter over the past few years, we sincerely need your help to continue a successful path. Therefore, I am personally asking you to consider participating in a chapter meeting and/or possibly on a committee for the upcoming fraternal year. Brothers, your talent and time is needed in this chapter and in the greater West Palm Beach community. Together, we can make a long-lasting impact.  As our chapter continues to expand its footprint in the community, our focus and goals for the upcoming fraternal year are as follows:

  • Reclamation (Intention of adding 10 to 15 financial brothers)

  • Community Service (Increasing the number of service projects and having a special budget specifically geared towards this effort)

  • Increasing our Scholarship Program (Goal to give 15k in scholarships)

  • Expanding our Guide Right Program (Mentorship, Tutoring & College Preparation)

  • Collaborating with the Kappa Foundation of Palm Beach for the benefit of the chapter (Having the foundation act as a fundraising extension of the chapter)

As your Polemarch, my vision is for this chapter to be the preeminent Greek-lettered organization in this county, leading by example through our actions and focusing on “achievement in every field of human endeavor.”

I close with the words of 1 Peter 4:10-11, which says: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

I look forward to serving as your 2022-2023 Polemarch.

Yours in The Bond,

Brother Paul Dumars, Jr.
